Biography
What originally started out as a progressive sidelabel for one of the biggest labels in psytrance history, Spirit Zone, is now considered one of the most important labels on the progressive psytrance scene. In June 2003, Antaro decided to close the Spirit Zone headquarters in Hamburg and move it to Ibiza / Spain and at last to Thailand.
He gave Juergen Schneider aka Laureth the great chance to take over Plusquam and so Laureth became the new owner. He started the new way of Plusquam Records with the CD Compilation "Revive" and initiated a new form of quality progressive-trance music. A lot of legendary albums followed such as Bitmonx & DJ Fabio, Haldolium, Cafu, Timetech, Auricular, Shaman and many high-standard compilations with today's most famous artists around the globe.
In August 2008 Laureth overgave the label and its fate to the current label owner Thomas Vitali from Munich, who lead Plusquam Records into a new era of quality progressive psytrance and started also give new talents a plattform to start off their musical exposure. Nowadays, the style of Plusquam is completely on Progressive Trance and also new genres such as Progressive House and Techno.
The artist roster of the label contains acts like Haldolium, Bitmonx, Auricular, Buzzmonx, CAFU, Saeg, Meander, Alchemix, Tandem, Mirowsky, Abstract Sunrise and Sunstryk.
