THE final countdown to Defqon.1 is now on, with three weeks until the massive dance festival hits Penrith.
Now in its third year, the festival offers a variety of hard dance music from tech to psytrance, hardcore to hardstyle.
A spokesman for event organisers Q-dance said Defqon would be even bigger and better this year, featuring big-name headliners such as Noisecontrollers, Technoboy, Zany, Alex Kidd and many more.

“Defqon is the best musical festival Australia has ever seen,” the spokesman said. “It will be the experience of a lifetime.”
There will be eight colour-coded stages this year, offering a broader variety of underground styles in electronic music and sending the message that Defqon.1 is here to stay.
In a festival first, Q-dance is offering partygoers an extended VIP camping experience, allowing visitors to sleep at “Defqon Island” on the Friday and Saturday nights. It includes luxury two- and four-person tents and four- and six-person tepees, with the cost including meals at the campsite, accommodation, sleeping equipment and two nights of entertainment.
To kick off the weekend, there will be a barbecue at 6.30pm on the Friday followed by a film at the onsite cinema and the Hardstyle Headphone Disco.
